How do I get started?
Internet Online Banking services from MidSouth Bank are best viewed
with Netscape Navigator 3.02 or higher, and Microsoft Explorer
4.0 and higher. The browser must support 128-bit SSL encryption.
If your browser does not support 128-bit, we suggest updating
your browser to support 128-bit for added security.
To begin using Netbanking, you must complete an application.
MidSouth Bank will assign you a Netbanking ID to use when signing
on to the system and a PIN (Personal Identification Number). Once
you sign on to Netbanking, you will be prompted to change your
PIN. The PIN must consist of 4 numeric characters only.

How can you guarantee
the security of my banking information?
We follow strict standards to guarantee the security of your banking
information online. A few of these standards are listed below:
- Your banking information never travels the Internet without
encryption protection
- Log in sessions have a time-out limit requiring you to log
in again once the limit is reached
- PIN guessing is deterred and reported. Internet security is
not a once and for all task. We are constantly developing and
implementing security enhancements to ensure the integrity of
our Internet Banking System

What can I do to protect
my account and personal information while I'm banking online?
- Memorize your password
Your Netbanking ID and PIN verifies you when you begin an online
banking session with MidSouth Bank.
- Do NOT use the save password option on your computer.
- Do NOT write down your password or reveal it to anyone.
- Change your password regularly
It's important to periodically change your password.
- Remember to sign-off
You may not always be at your own computer when you bank online.
Therefore, it's important to log-off when you're finished banking
or leave the room for a few minutes while in an open banking
session. For your protection, MidSouth Bank automatically logs
you off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- Use the built-in security features of
your browser
MidSouth Bank recommends that you use the built-in security
features that some browser provide. Choosing certain security
settings and options will help protect the privacy of your accounts
and personal information. The Help Option
or Properties on your browser should
provide you with the security options available on your system.
- If you feel your Netbanking ID or PIN
has been stolen and compromised
Notify the Electronic Banking Dept. immediately at
800- 213-BANK, Ext. 3-3230 or 337- 593- 3230 (Lafayette,
Louisiana calling area).

I'm having trouble signing
on . What am I doing wrong?
More than likely you forgot your PIN (Personal Identification
Number) or you entered an invalid PIN. Each customer is allowed
three invalid sign-on attempts before the system locks him or
her out for a 24-hour period from the time they attempted to sign
on. If you have forgotten your PIN, you will have to call the
Electronic Banking Dept. at 800- 213-BANK,
Ext. 3-3230 or 337- 593- 3230 (Lafayette,
Louisiana calling area), between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m., CST, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. After proper
ID verification, the Electronic Banking Department will give you
instructions regarding your PIN.
Another reason you may be having trouble signing on is you may
be using the wrong PIN. If you also have the Billpay service,
you were mailed two PINs; one to access Netbanking, and one to
access Billpay. Make sure you are using the right PIN at
the right screen.

I created an alias for
my Netbanking customer ID number, but can't remember it. How do
I get into the system?

ID number that was assigned to you when you opened your Netbanking
account. Once you are logged on you can create a new alias.

purposes, the system is set with a default feature for a 10-minute

with their Billpay service. The enrollment month
is free. Your checking account is debited $4.95/month starting

Which accounts can
I access through Netbanking?
- Checking accounts
- Savings accounts
- Money Market accounts
- Time deposit accounts
- Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
- Loans
- Lines of Credit
You may transfer funds from a savings, checking, money market
account, or line of credit to a loan, line of credit, savings,
checking, or money market account. Time deposits and Individual
Retirement Accounts (IRAs) have only viewing capabilities. You
are not permitted under applicable law to make more than six preauthorized,
automatic, telephone, or computer, transfers from a savings or
money market account each statement period. No more than three
of the transfers may be made by draft, check, debit card, or similar
order to a third party (to the extent permitted by these accounts).
top
How late in the evening
can I make transfers?
The transfer cut-off time is 8:00 p.m., CST on business days.
Business days are Monday through Friday, and do not include holidays
or bank declared holidays.
top
If the system shows
an error during a transfer, what do I do?
Do not immediately "re-enter" the transfer. The transfer
may have already been posted, and the confirmation number was
lost in transit.
First, check the account the transfer
was drawn on, and then check the account status of the account
transferred to. If no debits or credits appear on your accounts,
then the transfer was incomplete. Only then should you
"re-enter" the transfer.

What online products
are available through Netbanking?
- Billpay - MidSouth Bank's Internet

top
How current is the

number is given by the system. If you make a withdrawal at an
Automated Teller Machine (ATM), or use a debit card, the information
is posted to your account as soon as MidSouth Bank receives the
data from either the ATM vendor or merchant.
